Xmas Tree

Yippee! I got a Xmas tree from my calendar on 24th. All I can say is that if you waited until the 24th to get your real Xmas Tree, your kids were probably really bad this year.

Severed Deer's Head!!!

On the 23rd day of my Christmas Calendar, my true love gave to me ... a severed deer's head. This disturbed me to no end.

I can only assume that it means that Santa somehow crossed the Corleone family

Today I received a chocolate drum. Does this mean that I should look the intrinsic rhythms and patterns in life?

Advent Calendar

I am struck by the profound symbolism in ordinary things.

I purchased my first advent calendar this year. I was not concerned with forgetting Christmas but instead I was drawn by the novelty.

The calendar consisted of 24 windows, each concealing a piece of chocolate with a symbol imprinted on it. I soon discovered that each symbol had a profound meaning which intertwined with the events of the day.

On day 14 I received a bell shaped chocolate. Later that day I was compelled to honk at some one who cut me off. I also heard a new song on the radio.

Today, I was to receive a wreath on on chocolate - but the chocolate was missing. I do not know what this means.

Enter the owl hat

The owl is the universal symbol of wisdom. Hats have long been associated with heads. The symbiotic fusion of these two archetypes epitomizes this blog.
